Recently, when researching cross-chain infrastructure, I started to notice a common misunderstanding: we still view the EVM bridge as a tool for transferring tokens between chains. But in the context of AI agents beginning to participate in the execution layer, that perspective misses a much more important layer, which is the state. The OpenLedger EVM bridge, if understood correctly, is not just a token bridge but a mechanism to keep the state synchronized across different execution environments. AI agents do not make decisions based on assets but based on the system state at that moment. The problem is when the state is out of sync between chains, the same input can lead to two different behaviors. At the system level, this creates a bigger problem: fragmented liquidity. In a multi-chain environment, liquidity is no longer a unified pool but is divided according to each execution domain. A real example is that Ethereum and major L2s like Arbitrum and Optimism have formed different liquidity silos, causing the same routing strategy to produce different results depending on the execution environment. For humans, this is just an optimization problem of the path. But for autonomous execution, fragmented liquidity is no longer a routing problem but becomes a direct constraint that skews the agent's decision space.
