特朗普提名的两美联储官员反对鲍威尔「无期限」担任美联储临时主席
深潮 TechFlow 消息，5 月 17 日，据英国《金融时报》报道，两名由特朗普总统提名的美联储理事米兰（Miran）和鲍曼（Bowman）联合反对让鲍威尔“无时间限制地”担任美联储临时主席。
这一分歧凸显出白宫持续施压美联储之际，央行内部政治裂痕正在加剧。鲍威尔第二个任期已于5月15日（周五）正式结束，在正式继任者沃什就职前，他被任命为临时主席代行职责。
米兰和鲍曼在联合声明中表示，他们原则上支持鲍威尔短期担任临时主席，但“无时间限制”的安排令他们无法支持。其中，米兰投下反对票，鲍曼选择弃权。两人建议该安排应限制在“明确且有限的时间范围内”，至少为一周，最长可支持一个月。
