前CFTC主席Timothy Massad：尽管特朗普公开反对，美国正闭门研究CBDC
BlockBeats 消息，5 月 20 日，在伦敦举行的 2026 年数字货币峰会上，美国商品期货交易委员会（CFTC）前主席 Timothy Massad 表示，尽管特朗普总统在就职前强烈反对央行数字货币或政府支持的与美元挂钩的稳定币，但全球市场动态使其成为必然趋势。
Massad 指出，尽管 CBDC 话题在华盛顿极为敏感，但相关讨论正在闭门进行。他强调，美国是国际清算银行（BIS）重点项目「Agora 计划」的参与国，该计划汇集了七家中央银行。尽管华盛顿公开表达反对，但闭门工作仍在推进。他补充称，美国没有一位央行行长会公开谈论批发或零售 CBDC，但这并不意味着美国没有在研究如何创建。
美联储支付业务主管 Mark Gould 在同一活动中拒绝谈论央行稳定币，表示「这目前不属于我们的职责范围」。但当被问及政府支持的数字美元是否属于美联储的责任时，他给出了肯定回答，但表示目前尚不涉及。
2024 年 3 月，特朗普在再次就职前九个月誓言将禁止创建 CBDC。今年 3 月，一项禁止美联储发行数字美元的倡议在参议院以 89 票对 10 票的两党压倒性多数获得批准，但目前仍作为住房法案的一部分，可能在众议院受阻。
Massad 认为，各国央行对稳定币的实验正悄然迫使美国建立政府支持的链上资金结算轨道，以避免落后于欧洲。他在会后表示，尽管特朗普政府公开表态称正式的零售 CBDC 不在考虑范围内，但代币化金融的演变将迫使政府支持的替代方案出台。
